Young Democratic Party (YDP) is a registered political party in Nigeria which begun its registration process in December 2013 and completed the submission of its application in April 2014.
Delta State Organizing Secretary of the Young Democratic Party, YDP, Comrade Solomon Avwata has vowed that his political party will take over power from Peoples Democratic Party , PDP, come 2019 general elections.
The Organizing Secretary, Avwata, who made this statement during the party’s state’s congress and inauguration of state executives of the party held in Asaba, said there is no hope for the teeming youths In Okowa’s administration.
Avwata who explained that the only thing Delta State youths has enjoyed from the administration of Okowa is fake promises and some skirmishes of development, said Young Democratic Party, YDP is a conglomeration of dynamic young vibrant men prepared to wrestle power from PDP.
He said, “The congress that saw Barr. Festus Ofume State Chairman, Comrade Udi Benjamin, State Secretary General; Comrade Avwata Igben Solomon Organizing Secretary; Comrade Micheal Owhodiasa , Youth Leader and Elo Okoro, Woman leader.
Others are; Comrade Friday Palmer, Financial Secretary and a host of others officiated by the National chairman, Barr. (Mrs.) Aye Georgina Dakpokpo , National Secretary, Bolaji Oni and their State leader Chief O. Peter Orere and other national leaders without any form of rancor.
“Young Democratic Party has come to liberate Nigeria youths and to take them from the shackle of perpetual darkness where Nigeria political leaders not prepared to relinquish power to the younger generation, but yet say they are the leaders of tomorrow when they have hang onto power for decades and not ready to retire.
“Young Democratic Party has come to stay and to give our youths a voice to speak, a vision for the youths, a brighter future to lead and build our dear country and not to snatch ballot boxes or rig elections for our greedy leaders.
“A state and country where there is no hope for better future, jobs, quality education , security, good health care facilities but what did we get is bill boards of Okowa’s Smart Agenda with high rate of poverty, hunger, bad roads, but we assure you that all these will be a thing of the past come 2019.”
