In the midst of deep despair and doubt, many will question the existence of our loving God. Yet each day, the sun rises again. Birds wheel in the sky as clouds form.
Storms come, but when they go, a rainbow appears, as drops of water gather into puddles and melt away to water the earth. Night falls, covering the sky with a carpet of stars that appear in unchanging constellations and a moon that waxes and wanes as days, weeks, and years pass.
God reveals Himself in the glory of creation, in the symmetry of time, in the passing of days, and the change of seasons. His Word refreshes and renews us as we seek to grow in knowledge and wisdom.
Are you mindful of the glory of creation as you go through your day? Do you have friends or family who question the existence of God? Are you willing to share some of this Psalm’s cry of the glory of creation as a witness to God’s power?
In the busy-ness of your life this week, take time each day to be mindful of the sunrise and sunset, the clouds, the stars at night, the entire beauty of creation. Listen as the heavens declare God’s glory.
Remember that you are Christ’s witness in the world. Make sure that your words and thoughts are pleasing to God.
