Real Madrid FC Has Place £65m on Sergio Ramos
Real Madrid Football Club has placed a price of £35M on Sergio Romaos in fear of losing control of the Sergio Ramos transfer wrangle despite turning down a £35million bid from Manchester United.
Sport analysis believe that the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez took the unusual step of calling Ramos personally to reassure him that his contract dispute will be resolved after he returns from a holiday in America and before Rafa Benitez’s squad depart for a pre-season tour of Australia and China on July 11.
Sport News observed that Real Madrid are increasingly concerned that the player has made up his mind to leave the Bernabeu after 10 years and may ultimately have to be sold. They will try to put United off by slapping a £65m price tag on Ramos after rejecting the opening offer.
However, there is still a suspicion that the 29-year-old is using the situation to force a better deal out of his club, but United are determined to pursue their interest.
They are keen to keep the Ramos discussions separate to any approach from Real for David de Gea and will demand up to £35m – a world record for a goalkeeper – to let the 24-year-old go as both sides dig their heels in.
