GODS POWER AND MY BEST – Rev Francis E. Waive

GODS POWER AND MY BEST - Rev Francis E. Waive

The GENERAL OVERSEER of Church of the Anointing New Year MESSAGE for year 2017 Gods Power and my Best.

What a joy to be alive and see another New Year! I am excited to be alive today and I know you are also glad to be counted among the living. No matter what we have experienced in the past, it is certain that we are still alive because our assignment on earth is not yet finished.

Someone once wrote ‘God give me life till my work is finished and give me work till my life is finished’.

In an environment like ours where many deaths are avoidable, one cannot but be grateful to God for safety and security of life. And I am sure none of us want to waste our time here on planet earth. We all want to make the most of our lives. And that is what I sought the Lord for concerning the year 2017.

His response?  “My power will be available working for you in every area of life throughout the New Year but its manifestation will depend on your doing your best”. [Gods Power and my Best]

Without the power of God, our faith is empty. Theories, philosophies, theology and other intellectual arguments will not change the world. Our faith should be based on the power of God. (1 Cor 2;5). God has infinite power. He is Omnipotent ….

Nothing is impossible with him. We know that God is all powerful. We need to experience this power in our daily lives. It was King David who wrote in Psalm 62;11 ‘God have spoken once, twice have I heard this; that all power belongs to God’. And our Lord Jesus proclaimed in Matt. 19;26 ‘with God all things are possible’.

It is something wonderful for the believer to experience this power of God in his daily life resulting in victory over sin, satan, sickness, failure etc. making the believer excel in every area of his life … his walk with God, finances, business, marriage, relationships, education, job, etc

The Apostle Paul describes the power of God that is available to the believer in Eph 1:19-20 “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him on his own right hand in heavenly places”.

He describes God’s power as exceedingly great and goes on to say that this power is available to us who believe!  Then he talks about the working of his mighty power which he wrought when he raised Christ from the dead. Bottom-line is that the power of God is available to the believer and more so this year. There is simply nothing too great for God to do for you!

God can do without man … but has chosen to work through man Ezekiel 22:30 says ‘And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land that I should not destroy it but I found none’.

This power of God that is available can only be revealed through man. There are things God wants to accomplish in your life, family, community and nation that is waiting for your role. ‘God works in us both to will and to do his good pleasure’ (Phil 2:13) God’s power is made available to us to the extent that we are willing to move forward.

I like the way it is stated in Eph.3;20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”.  This verse talks about God’s ability to do above our imagination BUT adds that this is limited to how much God’s power is at work in us as individuals.

Has God placed a vision in your heart? You need to set sail to your prophetic destiny. Success needs hard work (1 Cor 9:24-27). Hence we need men who will give their best to serve God. I challenge you to GIVE YOUR BEST to God this year 2017 so that you can experience his power in every area of your life.

God deserves your best OR don’t you think so? And now he demands your best. Please don’t give him anything less. God’s power is always available but only manifested to those who put in their best. The wind is always blowing it is left for you to catch the wind.

The more you can sail, the more the wind will work for you. Keep learning. Keep sailing. Keep the sail driving hard so that God’s wind can direct you. The reason we don’t achieve our prophetic destiny is that we are not putting in our best. We lower the bar of our expectations for breakthrough, healing, finances, ministry etc. We even want to avoid being disappointed. So we settle for less and don’t put in our best.

We limit God’s power when we don’t put in our best! 2 Kings 4:3-6 tells the graphic account of how the number of vessels borrowed or available limited the flow of the oil. Hence the song writer admonishes us to come with vessels not a few.

Sportsmen put in her best in order to win laurels, so must we also put in our best to have God’s power work on our behalf. Are you giving your best to the Lord?  President Jimmy Carter of the USA tells of his days in the US Marine Corps and how during training he was given an assignment. At his evaluation his Admiral asked him a question which he said he can’t forget all his life.

IS THIS YOUR BEST? I believe that the Lord God will be asking each of us the same question this year. Is your present life, career & ministry your best? You are called to put in your best. ARE YOU PUTTING IN YOUR BEST? At the judgment seat of Christ, it will be the same question. IS THIS YOUR BEST? May none of us be found wanting on that day!

Permit me to ask you another strong and personal question. What is your best? Are you been lazy? Are you tangibly productive or you are just marking time?  Or is your case that of some effort applied, no distance covered therefore no work done? You can’t continue in this way. You definitely can do more and be more. You have not used up to half of your God given potential. Rise up and make your life count! Or do you want to waste your life? Every minute of your life must count this year 2017. You must be productive. God’s power is available to you so you have no excuse.

Let me ask you WHY HAVEN’T YOU GIVEN YOUR BEST? From my many years of pastoral counseling with people, I discovered six enemies preventing people from giving their best: 1.) Never again. 2.) Failure. 3.) Tradition. 4.) Fear. 5.) Unbelief. 6.) Little Success. Do not allow any of these to stand between you and your prophetic destiny this New Year. WILL YOU NOW GIVE YOUR BEST TO HIM who gave his all for you? 1 Cor 3: 10-15, 2 Cor 5:9-11.

My prayer today is that your best will not be in your past!  God takes us from one level of glory to another 2 Cor 3:17-18 shining brighter & brighter Prov 4:18! Therefore continue to stretch out to be all that God created you to be and to receive all that is yours in Christ Jesus!

Remember It’s not either God’s power OR your best, but both working in synergy … and the results? Your testimony at the end of this year 2017!
